Fidelis Healthcare South Africa is an independent recruitment process agency based in Sandton, Johannesburg, supporting Fidelis Healthcare UK with recruitment, compliance, payroll and booking administration. We are a fully independent business, separate from Fidelis Healthcare UK, and successful candidates are employed directly by Fidelis Healthcare South Africa.
Description
Following recent growth to a team of six, we are now hiring a Country Director to lead our South Africa operation end to end. This is a combined sales and operations leadership role in a young, fast growing business, with responsibility for our recruitment, compliance, payroll and booking teams supporting both Fidelis Healthcare UK and Aston Community Services.
As part of this role, you will also be responsible for building a new revenue generating arm of the business in South Africa, setting up a local sales and billing desk to secure placement and recruitment contracts within the region. As the business grows, a General Manager will be brought in to support you, with a number of team leaders reporting into the role.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of day to day operations across all teams
- Set up and lead a new sales and billing desk in South Africa, mirroring the service already established in the UK
- Generate new business and identify new lines of work across the South African staffing and home care market
- Secure short, medium and long term placement and recruitment contracts within the region
- Set and drive individual and department KPIs
- Hold regular one to one meetings with team members
- Work hands on as part of the booking team
- Lead all new hiring for the business
- Write business plans to help drive the business forward
- Report directly to the Directors, including the Executive Director of Finance
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar Operations Director, Country Director or senior operations role is essential
- A strong sales background, with a proven ability to generate new business and win contracts
- Strong understanding of the staffing and home care market in South Africa
- Confident working towards large targets
- An understanding of the UK healthcare sector
- A track record of managing multiple teams and hitting KPIs
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Great communication skills
- Experience in recruitment, staffing, healthcare, compliance or payroll operations
- Strong, hands on leadership style with excellent business writing skills
